Cake Smash Must Knows-
During your cake Smash With Ember + Coal you will be offered a variety of options - a complimentary family photo opportunity, so we can document your family celebrating one whole year of being parents, or a family with this sweet little person who is turning one!
After the family photo opportunity baby will be photographed in a series of pre-discussed options, remember this session is all about your vision.
We will likely photograph baby in a non-cake smash set up, and then move into the cake smash set up, where we can photograph baby in several props, chairs, and outfits before moving into the fun stuff! Cake Smashing!
This is (usually) the fun part, (sometimes babies cry, and that is OKAY), We will work through tough feelings and get back to it when baby is ready.
We will place in front of baby, the cake you've selected for us to provide, and we will encourage baby to eat it, smack it, and mash it in whatever ways they're willing. This is one-hundred percent baby led. Often times baby needs a little encouragement so A wooden spoon is offered - and that usually leads to maximum destruction on their once, perfect cake smash Cake. Cake Smashing is such a playful way to document the celebration of turning ONE!
After baby is all done, destroying their cake, and has made the best-mess-ever, comes the next level of fun!
Rub-a-dub-dub - BUBBLE BATH!
There is two incredible options, a toddler sized clawfoot tub, or a toddler sized metal bucket depending on which suits your session theme. Most often if baby isn't a huge fan of their cake, the bath fixes everything. They will splash, have fun, and the images captured in this portion are to-die-for! Watching your baby authentically and joyfully splashing in the tub across the studio, is one of clients favorite parts.
