When To book your maternity Photos and WHY!
The ideal time to book your maternity photos is during your second trimester. Around weeks 28-32. This is when your baby bump is noticeable but you are still (hopefully) quite comfortable. (Don't get me wrong, I recently had a mama come for maternity photos in Langdon, into studio, who at 39 weeks, went into labor that night)! Cutting it close, I think, yes!
Ultimately the ideal gestation is 28-32 weeks, but that doesn't mean it is the only time to book your maternity photos. It really comes down to your preference, and of course your photographers availability.
I only take on a specific number of clients each month to ensure I can dedicate time to serve my clients to the fullest. So several months in advance to book, is ideal.
Booking your session in advance is recommended for several reasons -
